EnCompass Opening Screen
Farmer - opens a list of farmers in the database, default opening list
Recommendations - access to a list of recommendations in the database and a list of recommendation templates
Reports - access to a collection of reports and their descriptions
Help - a comprehensive on-line assistance document.
List of farmers in the database that may be viewed by the user.
There is a search facility for each column.
From this screen "New" farmers may be created, existing farmer details amended, view settings changed and the NVZ modules completed.
Reports - list of field reports for the farmer
Notes - notes and "to-do" list for the farmer
Commands (open in image) - available commands for the farmer list. The NVZ modules, Manure Management Plan, create new farmer or open a selected farmer.
All details for each farm business are held together in a collection of "tabs". When a farm business is open there are three important areas on the screen: the tabs, the progress report and the context panel.
In the "Farmer Details" tab essential contact details about the business.
At the foot of the table is the progress report where the user can see what package the farm has subscribed to, how many recommendations have been produced and completed, and how many fields out of the total number on the farm have been used in recommendations.
The NVZ compliance reports are also stored here. The modules cover the overall Farm Limit calculation (with or without derogation), storage requirements for cattle and poultry, and N max compliance reports. A Manure Management Plan will complete the set.
Farm produced slurries and manures may be analysed and used in preference to the standard figures. Custom made fertilisers (blends or liquids) may also be used. If some fertiliser is already in stock this may be noted against the tonnage requirement for the next season.
To the left of the screen the Context panel contains access to the field reports as shown, notes and commands (including the audit trail).
