NVZ organic manure module

This module calculates the storage compliance for slurry collected on the farm.  This is a six month capacity for pigs and poultry, five months capacity for other types of livestock.

step 1 of the organic manure storage module step 2 nitrogen from livestock

From the livestock details entered in EnCompass, step two will calculate the monthly volume produced and collected.

step 3 dilution of slurry from other sources

Step three calculates the dilution of the slurry from rainfall and dirty water.  The rainfall volume is calculated from the area of the slurry store and concrete feeding into the store and the average monthly rainfall during the storage period.  Monthly volume of wash water is from the hose volume rate and livestock number.  If the dirty water is diverted to a separate storage system uncheck the box to remove the volume from the slurry store.

Once the slurry volume has been assessed step four will confirm compliance by comparing this with the capacity of the store.
