EnCompass Tip of the Week - Plan Dates
Something that caught my attention at a "PLANET" training course.
Entry Level Stewardship Scheme plans have 4 basic requirements for scoring points:
Soil management plan
Documented fertiliser plan at the START
Accurate nutrient spreading (I.e. calibrate your spreader)
Records of actual applications
It was the "at the START" bit that was stressed. The point being that the plan should be in place before the muck or fertiliser spreader is hitched to the tractor.
Setting the recommendation date
When a NEW recommendation is created you have one chance to amend it to whatever date you wish. It defaults to the current date but you can change it. Once the recommendation has been saved it can no longer be amended.
