Chamberlain to help UKs sole national fertiliser manufacturer to grow

Rural affairs communication specialist Chamberlain has been appointed by GrowHow, the UK's only national manufacturer of fertilisers, to provide valuable strategic advice.

Chamberlain, the specialist agriculture and food chain division of leading communications agency Ware Anthony Rust, will assist in the planning and execution of major projects.

Technical communications, including a full programme of editorial features and releases, will continue to be organised by Active Solutions who have worked closely with the GrowHow team since 1999.

David Stacey, GrowHow's UK commercial director, said: "Chamberlain can clearly play a major part in working with us to deliver better communications. We have been working with Chamberlain for some time on an ad-hoc basis and they have already contributed a great deal of industry insight and expertise."

Geoff Dodgson, Chamberlain senior consultant, said: "We are delighted to be working with GrowHow UK and recognise the strategic importance of maintaining a UK manufacturing base to give farmers in this country security of supply in an increasingly tough global marketplace."

Geoff will be joined on the Chamberlain team by Director of Strategy and Development Heather Peck, a former Regional Operations Director at Defra, and Becky Lamont, a former journalist with almost ten years experience in public relations.

Helen Riby of Active Solutions added: "Whether it's minimising the environmental impact or maximising the financial return decisions about fertilisers are increasingly being technically led. We look forward to working closely with Geoff and his team."
