KayNitro ®
25.0.16
A long established blend supplying the key nutrients of Nitrogen and Potash
While KayNitro is linked primarily to conserved grassland, it has a general use on all crops where higher
levels of Nitrogen are required together with Potash.
The requirement for Nitrogen and Potash to provide adequate growth and account for crop removal is very high in combinable crops where straw is removed, and in conserved forage crops with high levels of green crop offtake.
Combine this with the general UK scenario of soils requiring higher levels of Potash than
Phosphate and it is clear why there is a significant market segment requiring KayNitro.
KayNitro can be used in a fertiliser programme to supplement other Potash supplying products where supply is required through the season rather than from a single, high level application.
It is vital to ensure herbage Sulphur levels are adequate when using KayNitro. If S is deficient or you are unsure use KayNitro Sulphur.
Areas of Suitability
Grassland - for second and subsequent silage crops apply 300-400 kg/ha immediately after previous crop is removed. As a single mid-season dressing
on grazing grass at 200 kg/ha.
Forage Maize - use KayNitro to supplement organic manures and as a seedbed fertiliser using 200-300 kg/ha at crop emergence.
Arable - use as a spring top dressing where additional Potash is required and Sulphur is known to be sufficient. If Sulphur is
required use KayNitro Sulphur. Apply at a rate that delivers the required Nitrogen.
| Features | Benefits |
| A size matched blend of Nitrogen and Muriate of Potash | Even application of nutrients to 24m and above where required (with a correctly calibrated spreader) |
| A 'full' product | A concentrated product with no filler meaning more efficient nutrient application |
| High N and K levels | Reflects crop need for a range of grass and forae crops together with efficient spring application of N and K to winter sown crops |
| Zero Phosphate content | To fit a range of circumstances now where high soils reserves or use of organic manures means no fertiliser Phosphate is required |
| Manufactured at sites which are accredited to ISO 9001:2000 | Reliable product, consistent quality, confidence in use and response |
* GrowHow recommends that you set up your spreader for both application rate and spread pattern.
