KayNitro ® Sulphur

25.0.13 + 7(SO3)

A True Granular Compound combining the long established KayNitro brand with the added benefit of Sulphur

KayNitro

KayNitro Sulphur recognises the growing need for Sulphur in both grass and arable crops, where higher levels of Nitrogen and Potash are required. Where biosolids (sewage sludge) are used KayNitro Sulphur is the nutrient balancing product of choice.

The requirement for Nitrogen and Potash to provide adequate growth and account for crop removal is very high in combinable crops where straw is removed and in conserved forage crops with high levels of green crop offtake.

Combine this with the general UK scenario of soils requiring higher levels of Potash than Phosphate and a recognised need for Sulphur to achieve optimum yields and it is clear why there is a growing market for KayNitro Sulphur.

To optimise the benefits of N, it is essential to have sufficient exchangeable Potash in the soil. ref PDA March 2008.

If in any doubt about Sulphur levels, use Sulphur containing product unless it is determined by analysis that Sulphur is sufficient.

Areas of Suitability

Grassland - For second and subsequent silage crops apply 300-400 kg/ha immediately after previous crop is removed.

As a single mid-season dressing on grazing grass at 200 kg/ha.

Forage Maize - Use KayNitro Sulphur to supplement organic manures and as a seedbed fertiliser using 200-300 kg/ha at crop emergence.

Arable - Use as a spring top dressing where additional Potash is required. Apply at a rate that delivers the required Nitrogen.

Features  Benefits
A True Granular product Even applicaton of nutrients to 24m and above where required (with a correctly calibrated spreader)
High N and K levels Reflects crop need for a range of grass and forage crops together with efficient spring application of N and K to winter sown crops
Added Sulphur The majority of the UK now requires Sulphur supplementation to achieve optimum yields
Zero Phosphate content To fit a range of circumstances now where high soils reserves or use of organic manures means no fertiliser Phosphate is required
Manufactured at sites which are accredited to ISO 9001:2000 Reliable product, consistent quality, confidence in use and response

* GrowHow recommends that you set up your spreader for both application rate and spread pattern.
